Kawai CS3

The sound and feel of a grand piano, in a stunning polished ebony cabinet.

Additional DescriptionMore Details

The sound of a grand piano:
The beautiful sound of Kawai’s hand-built EX grand piano is at the heart of the new CS3, with all eighty-eight keys of this world-class instrument painstakingly recorded, analysed, and reproduced as high-fidelity digital waveforms.

Progressive Harmonic Imaging recreates the exquisite tonal character of Kawai’s peerless EX concert grand piano, ensuring smooth tonal transitions across the keyboard and throughout the entire dynamic range.

The touch of a grand piano:
The new Responsive Hammer action recreates the distinctive touch of an acoustic grand piano, with its realistic movement and rigid, springless design providing a smooth, natural, piano playing experience.

The weight of the keyboard is appropriately graded to mirror the heavier bass hammers and lighter treble hammers of an acoustic piano, while structural reinforcements within the action assembly ensure greater stability during fortissimo and staccato passages.

Ivory Touch key surfaces gently absorb finger moisture to assist the player’s performance, while let-off simulation recreates the subtle ‘notch’ sensation felt when softly playing the keys of a grand piano, satisfying the expectations of the most discerning pianists.

Supplied in polished ebony finsh with matching bench.

TOUCH
The Advanced Hammer Action IV-F keyboard has been developed to represent the distinctive touch of a traditional grand piano, with its remarkable springless design providing consistent upward and downward motion for a smooth, more natural, piano playing experience. Moreover, just as acoustic pianos utilise heavier bass hammers and lighter treble hammers, the AHA IV-F keyboard also employs different hammer weights, appropriately graded for each playing range. Such attention to detail allows greater stability during fortissimo passages, while preserving delicate pianissimo control, to satisfy the demands of even the most discerning pianist.

TONE
The authentic sound of KAWAI digital pianos begins with the world renowned KAWAI EX Concert grand piano. Placed inside an anechoic chamber, free of audio reflections, the rich sound of this world class instrument is meticulously analysed and recorded by our Master Piano Artisans. The acoustic portrait of each note is later transformed into a precise three dimensional digital representation, employing KAWAI’ s proprietary Harmonic Imaging™ technology. This unique process faithfully reproduces the broad dynamic range of the original grand piano, from subtle pianissimos to thunderous fortissimos.

FEATURES
The convenient lesson feature allows aspiring pianists to learn the piano using a built-in collection of etudes from Alfred's Piano Courses. The left and right hand parts of each piece can be practiced separately, adjusting the tempo to perfect difficult passages, before being recorded and played back for self-evaluation.

Yamaha CLP-480PE

The ultimate classic Clavinova with huge range of instrument voices, GP soundboard speaker system and a host of features

Additional DescriptionMore Details

Supplied in the stunning Polished Ebony finish

A design that captures the presence of an acoustic piano:
A Clavinova has all the presence and beauty of an acoustic piano. Polished models offer a luxurious, classic piano finish while the colour variations available are designed to complement any room decor.

Real Grand Expression: the sensation of playing a grand piano:
Yamaha Real Grand Expression technology creates playing response and expressive capability similat to those of a grand piano. RGE combines three key elements: Sound, touch and pedals. The grand piano voices are created by sampling a Yamaha concert grand piano. A single piano was selected and finely tuned by a master piano technician. The result is a sound that captures both the beauty of each note and the harmonised sound of a single piano. The touch of a Clavinova has been meticulously refined using feedback from many pianists. Yamaha technology creates smooth and dynamic changes in tone according the strength of touch, replicating the expressiveness of a grand piano. Finally, the pedals are designed to complete the playing experience that only a Yamaha Clavinova can provide.

Intelligent Acoustic Control:
Intelligent Acoustic Control provides a full, balanced sound with rich lows and clear highs even at low volume. One of the joys of a Clavinova is that the volume can be adjusted to avoid disturbing others. However, playing at low volumes can make it difficult to hear bass and treble. The Intelligent Acoustic Control function automatically adjusts the sound and the volume control makes fine adjustments to the speaker system, ensuring that you can always enjoy the utmost sound quality even at low volumes.

A selection of instrument voices:
A Clavinova has many piano voices so that you can select the type of piano best suited to the musical genre you wish to play. In addition to acoustic pianos, you can enjoy the sound of electric pianos, including a Yamaha CP1 stage piano. Other instrument voices including classical organ, harpsichord and guitar are available while dual voice enables two sounds, for example piano and strings, to be combined giving the opportunity to play a wide variety of music.

A wide range of additional functions:
In addition to being compact and requiring no tuning, a Clavinova has a number of other useful features. Two headphone jacks offer the ability to listen in to a practice session or play duets in silence. A metronome, transpose function, brilliance control and digital effects such as concert-hall reverb and many other versatile features are also incorporated.

Two recording options offer maximum versatility:
Recording is a useful way to evaluate your performance and share with others. You can record at the touch of a button using up to sixteen-tracks. Playback tempo can be adjusted and performances can be stored on a USB memory device. In addition, this Clavinova has a USB audio recorder, which enables performances to be recorded as an audio track (WAV file format). Recordings can be transferred to a computer and then stored on a portable digital media player or onto a CD, for playback in a CD player. This function also provides the opportunity to play along with an audio track stored on a USB memory device.

Additional string resonance and damper effects are also applied, delivering rich tones with breathtaking realism and authenticity.

Kawai CA 93

Elegantly designed, with the character and refinement of a traditional instrument, these impressive pianos entice musicians to perform, while inspiring even non-musicians to start playing, and will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression from the very first glance

Additional DescriptionMore Details

Available in Premium Rosewood or Satin Black and supplied with a matching bench.

Featuring the latest Ultra Progressive Harmonic Imaging sound technology, the new Concert Artists offer the most detailed acoustic portrait of any digital piano, with 88-key piano sampling ensuring smooth tonal transitions across the keyboard and throughout the entire dynamic range.

The new Concert Artists also introduce RM3 Grand – the most realistic digital piano keyboard ever developed – with finely textured Ivory Touch key surfaces and remarkable Let-off mechanism further enhancing KAWAI’s unique wooden-key action technology.

Finally, complementing these impressive advances in sound and action technology, the convenient USB Audio feature allows music files stored on USB memory to be played through the instrument’s speaker system, or for memorable performances to be recorded directly to MP3/WAV without leaving the keyboard.

The touch and tone of an acoustic grand with all the features and convenience of a digital: all new Concert Artists from KAWAI – the future of the piano.

The sound of a grand piano:
The KAWAI EX concert grand piano is widely regarded by professional pianists and piano technicians as the finest instrument of its class. Hand-built by our distinguished Master Piano Artisans at the Shigeru Kawai Piano Research Laboratory in Ryuyo, Japan, each EX instrument undergoes a meticulous regulation and refinement process within a specially designed anechoic chamber. Following this lengthy preparation period, the completed EX piano receives a final series of rigorous quality inspections, before eventually taking pride of place on the centre stage of the world’s most prestigious musical institutions and concert halls.

The beautiful sound of the EX grand piano is at the heart of the new Concert Artist, with all eighty-eight keys of this world-class instrument painstakingly recorded, analysed, and reproduced as high-fidelity digital waveforms. Recording each key individually in this way – as opposed to stretching the same tone over several different notes – ensures that the rich harmonic character of the original EX grand piano is preserved, and guarantees that the sound heard when pressing any one of the Concert Artist’s wooden keys is a faithful representation of the acoustic source.

When playing the piano, the amount of pressure applied to the keyboard not only affects the volume of the sound produced, but also the unique tonal character of each note. Therefore, in order to gather a realistic acoustic portrait of the EX grand piano, not only is each key recorded individually, but also captured at various different strengths, ranging from gentle pianissimo to thunderous fortissimo. The new Concert Artist offers the most detailed acoustic portrait of any digital piano, with Ultra Progressive Harmonic Imaging sound technology ensuring smooth tonal transitions across the keyboard and throughout the entire dynamic range.

The touch of a grand piano:
The keyboard action of an acoustic grand piano has remained largely unchanged for centuries, employing long wooden keys that rise and fall in a seesaw motion, to trigger hammers that strike metallic strings. It’s an intricate, yet beautifully designed mechanism that allows pianists to express a wealth of feeling and emotion in their playing.

The Concert Artist’s RM3 Grand action embraces the very same, long-established acoustic piano principles of material, motion, and mechanism to faithfully recreate the exceptional touch of a fine concert grand. First, all eighty-eight black and white keys are crafted entirely from long pieces of wood, with finely textured ivory-like surfaces applied to absorb moisture and assist control.

The centre of each wooden key sits upon a balance pin, rising and falling with gravity, for a consistent, natural motion that’s reminiscent of its acoustic counterpart. When pressed, the back of each key triggers a grade-weighted hammer, which in turn strikes a switch to play the note. Additional counter-weights placed at the front of the bass keys, help to lighten their heavier touch during pianissimo passages – again, another refinement borrowed from the acoustic piano action. While the new let-off feature even recreates the subtle ‘notch’ sensation felt when gently playing the keys of a grand.

MP3/WAV recording and playback:
USB memory devices can be used to play back MP3 or WAV audio files, allowing musicians to learn the chords or melody for a new piece, or to simply play along with their favourite songs. It is even possible to save performances as MP3 or WAV files for emailing to friends and family, listening to on an iPod, or for further editing using an audio workstation.

Soundboard Speaker System:
The CA93 is equipped with a unique Soundboard Speaker System. Embracing the rich, harmonic qualities of wood, sound energy is channelled onto a spruce soundboard to faithfully reproduce the unmistakable warmth and ambience of an acoustic piano. While the sound produced by normal ‘cone’ speakers typically resonates in circles from a central point, instruments such as guitars, violins and pianos, harness the acoustic properties of wooden boards, vibrating with the resonances of each tone for greater uniformity of expression. The Soundboard Speaker System adopts similar principles in order to enhance the sound reproduced by conventional speakers.

Touch curve:
Previously, when the normal touch curve didn't fit your playing style, the only solution was to choose one of the different touch curve presets in the piano. With the NEW User Touch Curve feature, you can CREATE your own touch curve. In User Touch Curve mode, you are asked to play dynamically from soft to loud to input your playing style. Then the piano analyses the data and creates the perfect touch curve specially made for you.

Virtual Technician:
A piano technician plays a very important role for an acoustic piano to be in the best playing condition for a pianist. Our VIRTUAL TECHNICIAN function does the same work digitally. You'll find Kawai's exclusive Virtual Voicing, capable of digitally "voicing" the piano sound. There are also controls for adjusting the action's Touch, String and Damper Resonance, as well as several other piano-specific settings.

User Memory:
You can easily customise your Concert Artist piano's initial settings. Choose a new starting instrument, favourite effect, touch curve, etc. Once you have the piano memorise it then you don't have to go through many buttons every time you turn the power on.

Dual, Split and 4 Hand Mode:
When you layer two sounds (Dual) or use different sounds on the left and right (Split), the balance control is convenient for quick and easy adjustment of the two sounds' balance. Moreover, you can adjust the octave range of the second sound (Layer Octave Shift, Lower Octave Shift) in DUAL and also in SPLIT mode. Also you can set up the dynamic behaviour of the second DUAL sound (Layer Dynamics), to let you avoid having too high a volume on it.
In Four Hand Mode you can split the keyboard in two halfs by having the same octave range on both parts. So two pianists (i.e. teacher and pupil) can play and practise together on only one instrument.

LESSON Function:
For the aspiring pianist, the Concert Artist Series features a recorded collection of standard practice and warm-up drills, with a companion music book containing major and minor scales, arpeggios and Hanon exercises also included. Moreover, the powerful lesson function allows performers to learn the piano using a built-in collection of etudes from Czerny, Burgmüller, Beyer and Bach, or songs from the popular Alfred Basic, Adult and Premiere (USA, Canada, Australia and UK only) course books. Each etude or song can be played at various tempos, practicing the left and right hand parts separately, before eventually recording a practice session for self-evaluation.

Reverb and Effects:
Five distinct reverb types simulate listening environments from private practice rooms to concert halls. Two special reverbs produce a 3D effect, surrounding you with sound from all directions. Digital sound effects such as delays (three types), Chorus, Tremolo and Rotary Speakers (two types) add to the remarkable realism of the Concert Artist sounds. You can adjust the digital effects and - for further use - save.

Metronome and drum rhythms:
In addition to the standard metronome click you can choose from 100 drum rhythms for your convenience on all three new CA models. Play along with a complete drum set. You can load various rhythms and change their tempo. Never before was practising so much fun.

Natural Wood (NW) keyboard with synthetic ivory keytops provides superb feel and playability, virtually indistinguishable from that of the ivory keyboard of a concert grand piano. Built-in LAN port enables the CLP-S308 to be connected to the Internet directly for a wide variety of streaming piano radio programs and a selection of well-known method and exercise pieces.

Overview:
Simple yet elegant slim design
Pure CF Sampling with 3-level Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) Dynamic Stereo Sampling
Natural Wood (NW) keyboard with real-wood white keys and synthetic ivory keytops
LAN port for Internet Direct Connection
USB TO DEVICE / USB TO HOST

Features:
Natural Wood (NW) Keyboard with Synthetic Ivory Keytops: This type of keyboard features the feel of real ivory. The special Natural Wood keyboard also uses real-wood white keys. The key surface is soft and slightly porous, giving the keys added grip and a natural friction that lets you play easily. The authentic touch and feel of the keys goes far beyond existing electronic keyboards, it makes you feel as if you're playing a real grand piano. This specially crafted keyboard lets you use techniques only possible on grand pianos, such as playing the same note successively and having the sounds blend smoothly even without use of the damper pedal, or playing the same key quickly and having perfect articulation without the sound cutting off unnaturally.

Pure CF Sampling for superb tonality: Yamaha technicians selected a CFIIIS full concert grand with the highest sound quality, and tuned it to the finest possible condition. They then used our unique Pure CF Sampling technique to sample all of its sounds, in order to create the CLP sound. As a result, you enjoy the same natural tonal response as a top-quality piano.

Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) Dynamic Stereo Sampling: The AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) is a sampling system which creates sound close to that of an acoustic instrument by using digital technology to record the instrument sound and applying high-quality digital filter technology to the recorded audio samples. The waveform of the sound created by playing the key of an acoustic piano differs depending on the playing strength from pianissimo to fortissimo. The AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling can produce such dynamic nuances by recording samples of various playing strengths. The greater the number of samples used, the higher the expressive quality and potential becomes.

ClavinovaRadio: Music to match any scene and mood - directly from the Internet. The instrument functions as a "performance radio" by streaming songs directly through your instrument whenever you like.

Exercise on Demand: Provides a wide-range of common methods from beginners to advanced - even duet pieces - by streaming directly through your instrument. Versatile functions offer assistance to effectively practice the piano; such as listening to professionally played examples, muting the left-hand, right-hand, or even the second part of duets to focus on the parts, and raising or lowering tempo. Using the metronome even allows you to practice difficult passages and grasp the rhythm. The premium service available as a monthly or annual subscription adds the 'My Exercises' feature to save your playlist of methods you're currently working on.

Selection of Voices: Choose from a large selection of other stereo-sampled musical instrument sounds to perform with. These sounds provide added realism for more music playing enjoyment.

128-note Extended Polyphony (max.): Conventional digital pianos quickly run out of notes during fast, dense legato passages: sustained notes are cut off as the instrument "steals" notes to make room for new notes. A maximum of up to 128-note can be played at once.

50 Preset Piano Songs: A selection of 50 different piano songs is provided for your listening pleasure. These recordings were chosen for their beauty as well as their functionality. Since many of the songs are classic piano pieces, anyone taking lessons can listen to them for reference.

USB TO DEVICE Terminal: Insert a USB flash memory in the USB TO DEVICE terminal on the instrument. It would let you save or load the registered settings and user songs created on the instrument, as well as read data from the connected device.

USB TO HOST Terminal: Dive in and take advantage of the wide world of computer music software. Connections and setup are exceptionally easy, and you can play back your computer recorded parts with different instrument sounds - all from a single instrument.

Moreover, this specially crafted keyboard lets you use techniques only possible on grand pianos, such as playing the same note successively and having the sounds blend smoothly even without use of the damper pedal, or playing the same key quickly and having perfect articulation without the sound cutting off unnaturally.

Dual Mode: Dual mode lets you combine and play two voices together. For instance, strings and piano can be combined. When playing staccato, the piano voice is heard. Playing legato will generate string tones, adding depth to the performance.

Reverb: Reverb effect with different reverb types lets you add rich, extra depth and expression to the sound to create a realistic acoustic ambience.

Yamaha CLP-465GP

All the benefits of Clavinova in a compact grand piano style cabinet

Additional DescriptionMore Details

Features:

Real Grand Expression: the sensation of playing a grand piano:
Yamaha Real Grand Expression technology creates playing response and expressive capability like those of a grand piano.

You can record at the touch of a button or use two-track recording to record both hands individually, or create a duet. Playback tempo can be adjusted and performances can be stored on a USB memory device. In addition, a Clavinova has a USB audio recorder, which enables performances to be recorded as an audio track (WAV file format). Recordings can be transferred to a computer and then stored on a portable digital media player or onto a CD, for playback in a CD player. This function also provides the opportunity to play along with an audio track stored on a USB memory device.

A piano sound sampling taken from one Yamaha Full Concert Grand Piano "CFIIIS". "AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling": The piano sound is a sampling from the Yamaha Full Concert Grand Piano "CFIIIS", which has won high plaudits at the world's most famous concert halls and music competitions. The very top piano was selected, and an experienced tuner adjusted it to top condition. Yamaha emphasizes the natural sounds that should emanate from pianos. Sampling is carefully performed over a long period, from the sound start until fadeout, to reproduce a natural sound and attenuation that feels nothing like an electronic piano. In addition, they also focus on the change in timbre due to the strength or weakness of the key strike that is so characteristic of pianos. Sound sampling covered more than 10 stages of key strike strength for each keyboard. Uses "AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling", sounds that most closely express the piano characteristics, obtained through rigorous recording. The Yamaha development team spent a lot of time together with pianists in thorough pursuit of the optimum touch and timbre combination, resulting in achievement of natural sound changes that sound like a person is actually playing a grand piano, no matter how the keyboard is played.

New acoustic system reproduces clearer, more voluminous sound: Uses new amp and speaker The piano sound has become clearer, and volume feel has increased.

Yamaha CGP-1000

The Ultimate – the luxury of true grand piano feel and sound in a grand piano cabinet

Additional DescriptionMore Details

The CGP-1000 is a truly unique acoustic/digital hybrid instrument - combining the accurate reproduction of sampling technology with the richly textured harmonic nuances of a real grand piano. The CGP-1000 utilizes an actual piano soundboard along with a finely crafted grand piano cabinet to perfectly recreate the sonic resonances and subtle harmonics of a concert grand piano - all in a full-featured, sophisticated digital piano. A perfect blend of the traditional and modern, the breakthrough CGP-1000 represents the culmination of years of Yamaha's fine instrument craftsmanship and technological expertise.

Overview:
Polished Ebony Grand Piano Cabinet
Actual Piano Soundboard to produce amazingly authentic grand piano sound
Natural Wood (NW) keyboard with real-wood white keys, Synthetic Ivory Keytops
4-level Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) Dynamic Stereo Sampling
USB Audio Recorder

Features:
Polished Ebony Grand Piano Cabinet: 4'11'' (151cm) enclosure with beautiful polished ebony finish and grand piano style fallboard. The fallboard is designed so that the panel controls can be completely hidden - making the instrument look exactly like a real acoustic piano!

Hybrid Active Soundboard System: One of the secrets to the amazingly authentic grand piano sound of the CGP-1000 is the actual piano soundboard that has been integrated into the instrument along with state-of-the-art vibro-acoustic technology (using transducers created by Acouve Laboratory, Inc. in Japan). Combined with the sophisticated iAFC effect, the result is a full, resonant grand piano sound with rich harmonics and astounding realism.

Instrumental Active Field Control (iAFC): This sophisticated technology outputs sound picked up by built-in microphones together with the Clavinova's internal sound through rear speakers, making automatic adjustments to create a richer sound that best matches the acoustic characteristics of the room you're playing in. It also uses signal processing to reproduce an authentic damper effect. When the damper pedal is pressed, it delivers discretely sampled overtones, harmonics and resonance to recreate the warm and spacious sound.

Super Articulation: Introducing a completely new level of sonic realism and musical expressiveness. The remarkably authentic Voices feature the unique performance characteristics of each instrument, the expressive finger-slides on the guitar, or the breathy, legato phrasing of a saxophone. Never before have such string, wind and brass instruments, played live with a keyboard, sounded so convincing or so real!

MegaVoice Technology: It features multiple samples across the keyboard with sophisticated velocity switching - for incredibly authentic instrument sounds. It contains not only the basic samples of the instrument but also the performance techniques used with it. On a guitar for instance, players will hear open and mute string sounds, dead notes, hammering effects, slide effects, harmonics and a wide range of strum and body noises. In technical terms, MegaVoice duplicates an instrument's behavior. In sonic terms, this gives the keyboard stunningly realistic sounds.

Natural! Voices: These rich and luscious Voices are comprised mostly of keyboard instrument sounds and are especially intended for playing piano and other keyboard parts.

Live!, Cool! and Sweet! Voices: A huge palette of acoustic and electronically amplified instrument sounds. A blend of long, stereo and multi-layered samples is used to fully capture the natural presence, resonance, expression and vibrato of the real instrument.

USB Audio Recorder: You can record your performance as audio data to a USB storage device. Connect a microphone or guitar to the instrument and enjoy recording a guitar and keyboard performance together, or record your singing along with song playback.

16-track song recorder: Use the built-in song recorder with up to 16 tracks to create complex, multi-part arrangements one instrument at a time. After recording, save to the internal memory, which retains data even when the power is switched off, on a storage device, or to a PC.

Guide Lamps: The key guide lamps indicate the notes you should play, when you should play them, and how long you should hold them down. You can also practice at your own pace - since the accompaniment waits for you to play the notes correctly. Here, mute the right- or left-hand part and try practicing the part using the guide lamps.

Piano Reset Button: This convenient, easy-to-use feature completely and automatically reconfigures the entire CVP for optimum piano performance. No matter what settings you've made from the panel, you can instantly call up the piano settings by a single button press.

LAN Port: LAN Port is for a wired internet connection the same as a LAN terminal you see on a computer. Stay connected and directly access to the Yamaha's special service "Internet Direct Connection (IDC)" without a computer. Once you're online with IDC, you can download your favorite contents straight to your instrument. And that's just the beginning - the fun and excitements start from there!

USB TO DEVICE Terminal: Insert a USB flash memory in the USB TO DEVICE terminal on the instrument and save or load registrations and user songs created on the instrument, as well as read data from the connected device.

USB TO HOST Terminal: Dive in and take advantage of the wide world of computer music software. Connections and setup are exceptionally easy, and you can play back your computer recorded parts with different instrument sounds - all from a single instrument.

TFT LCD 7.5 inch Display: High-resolution, 640 x 480 dots, color TFT (Thin Film Transistor) LCD screen. Big and bright, the 7.5 inch display shows scores, lyrics, all important settings and parameters with crystal clear clarity, even under extreme lighting conditions.

Super Articulation 2: Mainly for wind instrument Voices, a special Yamaha technology called AEM has been used, which features detailed samples of special expressive techniques used on those specific instruments - to bend or slide into notes, to "join" different notes together, or to add expressive nuances at the end of a note, etc.

Articulation Element Modeling (AEM): Articulation Element Modeling (AEM) is the technology for simulating this characteristic of instruments. During performance, the most appropriate sound samples are selected in sequence in real time, from huge quantities of sampled data. They are smoothly joined and sounded - as would naturally occur on an actual acoustic instrument.

USB Audio Recorder & MP3 Playback: You can record your performance as audio data to a USB storage device. Connect a microphone or guitar to the instrument and enjoy recording a guitar and keyboard performance together, or record your singing along with song playback. Also it features playback of audio files in the "MP3 (.mp)" format commonly used by personal computers and portable music players.

Guide Lamps: The key guide lamps indicate the notes you should play, when you should play them, and how long you should hold them down. You can also practice at your own pace - since the accompaniment waits for you to play the notes correctly. Here, mute the right- or heft-hand part and try practicing the part using the guide lamps.

Auto Accompaniment: The auto accompaniment features let you produce automatic accompaniment playback simply by playing "chords" with your left hand. This lets you automatically recreate the sound of a full band or orchestra - even if you're playing by yourself. The auto accompaniment sound is made up of the rhythm patterns of the styles. The styles of the instrument cover a wide range of different musical genres including pop, jazz, and many others. Using these accompaniment styles lets everybody, even beginners, give accomplished solo performances.

Music Finder: When you want to play in a certain genre of music but don't know which settings to choose, what can you do? Music Finder has the answer. It offers an extensive range of music styles with pre-programmed voices and effects setups. Search for suitable styles. It instantly call up the best-suited voices, tempo and accompaniment style to match the song name or music style you wish to play. Simply call up a song title and start playing.

Overview:
Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard with Synthetic Ivory Keytops
New Pure CF Sampling
4-level Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) Dynamic Stereo Sampling
Super Articulation and MegaVoice technology
USB Audio Recorder with WAV & MP3 playback

Features:
Pure CF Sampling for superb tonality: Yamaha technicians selected a CFIIIS full concert grand with the highest sound quality, and tuned it to the finest possible condition. They then used our unique Pure CF Sampling technique to sample all of its sounds, in order to create the CLP/CVP sound. As a result, you enjoy the same natural tonal response as a top-quality piano.

TFT LCD 5.7 inch Display: High-resolution, 320 x 240 dots, colour TFT (Thin Film Transistor) LCD screen. Big and bright, the 5.7 inch display shows scores, lyrics, all important settings and parameters with crystal clear clarity, even under extreme lighting conditions.

Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) Keyboard with Synthetic Ivory Keytops: Just as on an actual grand piano, the lower keys are heavy in touch and the higher keys are light, with all the natural gradations in between. This technology also provides performance functions and expressive power found only on grand pianos, such as having repeated plays of the same note perfectly articulated, even when playing at high speed or with partial key release.

Super Articulation: Introducing a completely new level of sonic realism and musical expressiveness. The remarkably authentic Super Articulation voices feature the unique performance characteristics of each instrument, the expressive finger-slides on the guitar, or the breathy, legato phrasing of a saxophone.

USB TO DEVICE Terminal: Insert a USB flash memory in the USB TO DEVICE terminal on the instrument to save or load the registered settings and user songs created on the instrument, as well as read data from the connected device.

USB TO HOST Terminal: Dive in and take advantage of the wide world of computer music software. Connections and setup are exceptionally easy, and you can play back your computer recorded parts with different instrument sounds - all from a single instrument.

Yamaha CLP-380

The pinnacle of Yamaha’s classical Clavinova series

Additional DescriptionMore Details

The CLP-380PM represents the absolute pinnacle of Yamaha's classical Clavinova series. The beautifully crafted Natural Wood key action (wooden white keys) provides the player with ultimate control and sensitivity, whilst the unique new Tri-Amp system delivers a sound quality that is simply unsurpassed. The luxurious high-gloss mahogany finish underlines that this is truly a Clavinova for the most discerning player.

Overview:
Natural Wood (NW) keyboard with real-wood white keys and synthetic ivory keytops
Pure CF Sampling with 5-level Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) Dynamic Stereo Sampling
Tri-Amp System for better sound in all frequency ranges
iAFC (instrumental Active Field Control)
LAN port for Internet Direct Connection
Polished Mahogany finish

Tri-Amp System for better sound in all frequency ranges: This proprietary system improves sound quality by using three separate amplifiers for the high, middle and low frequency ranges. The result is greater amp efficiency, lower distortion and better frequency response across the entire sound spectrum. It also maximizes the benefits of Pure CF Sampling.

Choice of Finishes: Each Yamaha Clavinova has an attractive, elegant finish to complement the room you place it in.

Choice of Finishes: Each Yamaha Clavinova has an attractive, elegant finish to complement the room you place it in.
